After carefully monitoring the forecast for extremely low temperatures in the early morning hours, the decision was made to have a two-hour delayed start for all LPS schools on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Salary Schedules/LPS-LEA Collective Bargaining Agreement

Following a successful interview and reference checks, a supervisor may request in writing that a conditional offer of employment be given to the candidate. This request form is forwarded to the Employment Technician in the human resources office at the Education Services Center, along with the necessary Automated Employee Action (AEA) form.

All classified employees will be required to have fingerprinting done prior to beginning work. Fingerprinting costs are $39.50, which will be deducted from the employee's first paycheck. Substitutes, Coaches and Champion employees are required to pay for fingerprinting at the time of hire.

Some classified positions require a physical. An appointment for the physical will be set up by the Employment Technician and paid for by the school district, providing the employee remains employed 90 days or more.

As required by the Department of Homeland Security for the I-9 Verification, employees must present one (1) document from List A OR a combination of documents, one (1) from List B and one (1) from List C (Lists A, B and C).  In addition a social security card is required for payroll and PERA documentation.

A new employee in an introductory or regular position for 20 hours or more per week (0.5 FTE licensed ) is eligible for District benefits.
