The Spirit Celebration is happening May 9- 16! Get Involved!
You may be asking, what is the Spirit Celebration and why should I support it? Two great questions that we’d love to answer!
Each LPS school has a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) that raises funds for their particular school for unique needs the principal has identified. Those funds are used solely for the benefit of that school community, students and teachers.
The Littleton Public Schools Foundation (LPSF) is a separate nonprofit entity from the school district that raises needed funds to support all LPS schools and students. School budgets, even in a great district like ours, have funding gaps. The LPSF helps fill those gaps through community engagement, such as the Spirit Celebration. We amplify resources to fund innovative programs, extraordinary educational experiences and provide support for students’ well-being that will prepare them for a lifetime of success. In addition, during this challenging time, the LPSF is providing additional funding to support emerging and essential needs like food assistance, connectivity and distance learning support, as well as mental health resources.
Now more than ever, we need to come together and support our most valuable and cherished assets…our children and their future! The Spirit Celebration is a way for our entire community, regardless of school affiliation, to collectively rally to raise funds that will supplement district resources and programs, empower teachers to pursue their best ideas and give all students the best opportunity to thrive!
