Board of Education reviewing new Middle School Social Studies instructional resources
The Middle School Social Studies Instructional Resource Review and Recommendation Committee members have completed their review of available Middle School Comprehensive Social Studies instructional resources. The committee is recommending National Geographic/Cengage Learning’s World Cultures & Geography (Eastern edition), World Cultures & Geography (Western edition), and American Stories, Beginnings to 1877. These resources will support and enhance the daily social studies instruction of our middle school students.
The instructional resources can be reviewed by following these steps:
The recommendation will be presented to the Board for discussion at the Board’s regularly scheduled meeting on April 10, 2025, and is scheduled for the Board to take action at its meeting on April 24, 2025.
