Welcome to the 4th Grade!  My name is Leanne Gossack and I have been a part of the Littleton Academy community for 24 years.  First as a parent, and then as a teacher.  This is my second career.  My first career was as a social worker.  This is my 17th year teaching 4th grade at Littleton Academy.  I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from the University of Northern Colorado. Both my children, now adults, attended our wonderful school! I will be entering a new role as a grandmother this September and I am very excited!  My husband and I love to go fly fishing in the summer, and enjoy the great outdoors.  I love teaching 10 year olds and we are going to have an incredible year.

Mrs. Payne - homeroom teacher

Welcome Gators!! I am ecstatic to be teaching fourth grade this year after teaching 5 years in first grade at Littleton Academy.  Things I love to do outside of school is hang out with my husband, Mr. Payne, and my golden retriever, Scout. We enjoy skiing, golfing, camping, and rooting on the Rockies, Broncos, CSU Rams and Avalanche. This year I am expecting my first bundle of joy to be joining our family around fall break. Luckily, we will have Ms. Iracheta joining us starting in September and will be taking over my classroom while I’m on maternity leave.  It's going to be a great year!

As a teacher and GT Facilitator, I look for each child’s strengths and build on them. Helping students set and achieve goals in both affective and academic areas is an important aspect of my job.  I will do my best to ensure that your child learns and practices new things each day, thinks deeply and ENJOYS reading, writing and problem solving.
A little bit about me: I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado and attended Auburn University.  After graduating from Auburn and spending a year in China, I moved to Denver. Since then I have always worked with children.  After working in the non-profit sector for a few years, I was chosen to participate in the Denver Teacher Project. That began my teaching career with Denver Public Schools. I hold a Professional Teaching License (K-6). Throughout my years as an educator, I have taught preschool, kindergarten, first, third, fourth and fifth grades.  This has led me to my current position as the Honors ELA (English Language Arts) Teacher and Gifted and Talented Facilitator.
My husband, Erick, and I have 4 children who either attend LA or graduated from LA, and a neurotic yet lovable Yorkie named Timmy. Our family loves to be outside, play/watch a variety of sports, travel and enjoy delicious food together.
Your children are about to begin a year of taking chances, making mistakes, learning and growing as all around incredible young people. May the journey begin!
