Throughout the week, students raised about $6,000 at various events and raised an additional $9,000 through the online Warrior Week link. Ralph Schomp Automotive generously donated an additional $15,000!
The week was not only emotionally moving, but also full of fun. The Arapahoe student body was all-in to decorate, play and go outside of themselves to help. There were MarioKart races at lunches, pies-in-the-face and shaved heads at the staff/student basketball game, a wonderful silent auction at the carnival and the school’s first ever Wish Kid Assembly complete with glow sticks and scooter races.
“This was such a beautiful week to remind us how loving our world really is,” said Abby Kuhlmann, AHS Assistant Principal/Activities Director. “As a former LPS kid myself, I was not surprised at the giving hearts in our community who brought me to tears several times during the week—I'm infinitely proud.”
The Arapahoe High School Student Council, administration, faculty and staff have expressed their sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in, and graciously supported, this year’s Warrior Week.
