After carefully monitoring the forecast for extremely low temperatures in the early morning hours, the decision was made to have a two-hour delayed start for all LPS schools on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The forecasted temperatures improve as the day progresses. / 2 HORAS DE RETRASO EN EL COMIENZO - TODAS LAS ESCUELAS DE LPS. Después de supervisar cuidadosamente el pronóstico de temperaturas extremadamente bajas durante las primeras horas de la mañana, se tomó la decisión de retrasar dos horas el comienzo de todas las escuelas de LPS el martes 21 de enero de 2025. Las temperaturas pronosticadas mejorarán durante el curso del día.

Allergy Aware

Lenski is an allergy aware school.  We work diligently with staff, parents and students to support those with food allergies.  Parents of students with severe food allergies are asked to contact the school nurse consultant. 
 
Parents often ask about support for students with nut/peanut allergies:
  • Parents, staff and students are asked to refrain from sending or eating nuts or food items containing nuts in the classroom. Nut butters and nut products ARE permitted in the lunchroom at designated seating areas.
  • Our cafeteria has four designated nut free tables and four tables for students who have nut products or nuts in their lunch. 
  • School staff work with students to reinforce hand washing, not sharing food, checking food labels and asking an adult for help.
  • Please note: Special events outside of school hours are not included in the nut aware policy. Food items containing nuts or nut products may be present at these events. We ask parents to use their best judgement when attending these events.
 We appreciate everyone being vigilant in our combined efforts to keep children safe.
