Overview of 3rd Grade
Welcome to 3rd Grade at Lois Lenski Elementary School! Each day we strive to enlighten our students' education through hands-on reading and writing projects integrated with social studies and science curriculum, instruct fundamentals of math concepts through a variety of strategies, and build friendship skills with partner and group assignments appropriate for eight and nine year old learners.
Third grade is an exciting year at Lenski! Students learn how to independently problem solve academic and social aspects of their young lives. If there is one thing to stress, we strive to achieve appropriate independence at this grade level. This is the first year students are administered standardized state testing that measures independent or instructional level. We educate third graders with the knowledge of test taking skills and academic preparation.
