Each year, in celebration of Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving, Lois Lenski adopts an American soldier for the holidays. This year, we are adopting former Lenski student Private First Class Brian Dorman. He was born on November 19, 1998 in Boca Raton, FL. He has an older sister, Madison and a younger brother, Joseph. His family moved to Colorado in 2009 and he attended Lois Lenski Elementary for grade 5. His favorite teacher was Mr. Metherd. He attended Powell Middle School for grade 6 and Graland Country Day School for grades 7 and 8. He graduated from Arapahoe High School in 2017 and joined the U. S. Army. He serves as Combat Medic and is stationed at Foot Hood, Texas. He is currently deployed to Bahrain, located in the Persian Gulf, as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Please help us support Private Dorman and the soldiers in his Unit in Bahrain! The Thanking Our Troops Campaign runs from Monday, November 12th through Monday, November 19th. We ask each Lenski student to write a letter of encouragement and support that will be sent to our adopted soldier. See attached letter template. We are also asking for the following specific donations to include in care packages:

Shaving Razors
Shaving Cream
Black socks (ankle and calf length)
T-shirts size large (no logos)
Shampoo
Body wash
Gum
Toothpaste
Deodorant

The goal of this campaign is to brighten the spirits of our sponsored soldiers during the winter holidays, and to help Lenski's students honor the contributions of the United States military. Thank you for participating in Lenski’s Thanking Our Troops Campaign. We appreciate your support!
