Coach Wilson spent last Wednesday, November 1st, in Colorado Springs attending a CDE workshop for Physical Educators. Teachers explored activities, dialogue and ideas for implementing the five core competencies of social-emotional learning: self-management, social awareness, responsible decision making, relationship skills, and self-awareness.
These competencies are included in Colorado's PE standard #3: Social and Emotional Wellness. She is excited to bring back new activities like "everybody up", "machine shop" and "robotics lab" to help Lenski students grow in their social-emotional skills while being physically active.
