Lenski is preparing to kick off the new "School Watchdog" pilot program to support school safety. As a reminder, this program invites Lenski families and neighbors to volunteer to provide Lenski staff with additional resources to support physical school safety. Volunteers will be required to complete a background check as well as a variety of safety trainings that will be provided at no cost by the LPS Security team, including First Aid and Shelter-Evade-Defend-Care training. Volunteers will be empowered to act as a member of the LPS Security team while on site at Lenski and will have access to various tools and systems to enable them to volunteer in this capacity. We are currently recruiting volunteers with the goal of launching the Lenski School Watchdog program in November. Although we're grateful for everyone who volunteers at Lenski, we're seeking volunteers who can commit to at least 2 hours /week to participate in the pilot program.
