We would like to thank Katie Hebert for organizing this years “Love from Lenski” Valentine’s Day campaign. During lunch last Wednesday, the students created valentine cards and offered words of encouragement for those living at Someran Glen. The thoughtfulness of our students brightened the day of so many!

Thank you to all the volunteers that helped provide supplies and assisted the kids with their creations during lunch!

The PTO would like to thank Amy Silverman for coordinating all the volunteer shifts for the hearing and vision screening tests that took place for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th graders last week. Great job coordinating efforts to get everyone to and from testing efficiently and with as little disruption as possible!

And a special thank you to all the volunteers who kept the kids moving along safely to and from the hearing and vision bus!!

The PTO would like to thank Cori Gummelt and Mackenzie Burford for organizing the food drive last month. There was a lot of coordination of efforts and countless hours collecting, sorting and boxing up all the donations and delivering items to the food pantry. Thank you to all the families that contributed items to help LPS families in need!

We would like to give a shout out to all of our amazing room parents for their time and efforts planning the Fall Festival parties on Halloween! We know it is a lot of work and we can't thank you enough for keeping the kids entertained with games, crafts, activities, and more!

We would also like to thank Katie Hebert and Jen Wescott for organizing and distributing our new spirit wear. We look forward to seeing everyone show off their Lenski school spirit by wearing their new gear!

The PTO would also like to thank Kelly Harrison and Kristin Morris for collecting, cutting out and counting all the Box Tops for our fall Box Top contest.

The PTO would like to thank Stephanie Wilcox for organizing and coordinating with all the room parents this year.  Stephanie did a great job recruiting at least two room parents for every classroom and presented a lot of information to the volunteers last week in an effort to ensure all parents have everything necessary to stay well informed and teachers are recognized for all their hard work with your kiddos!

On that same note, we would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all those that have volunteered to be room parents this year!  They have to do a lot of coordinating and "behind the scenes" work to keep everyone aware of what is happening in the school and your classrooms in particular!

On behalf of the entire Lenski community, we would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Erik and Sara Bechtold and Sign Language for creating and DONATING all of the Lenski calendar magnets.  We are so appreciative and love having a quick reference for the major happenings involving the school.  You should have received a magnet by now (they went out to youngest and only children), but if you have not received one and would like one, please contact Lenskipto[at]gmail[dot]com.

Thank you to Amy Silverman and all the volunteers that helped with kindergarten vision and hearing screening last week.  We were able to get through all kindergartners in one day which was quite a feat!
