Final Results of the Fund Run Are In! Way To Go Lenski!

Way to go Lenski! With the efforts of the students, families, and the entire community, Lenski raised over $100,000 to go toward the PTO's ongoing support of Lenski's staffing budget. This support supplements our district-apportioned funding and improves Lenski's ability to provide differentiated, small-group learning for ALL Lenski students. Through all of our efforts, Lenski is able to provide a learning experience that far exceeds what the district funds!

The PTO would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the entire Sprinting for the Stars Fund Run Committee. Thank you doesn't seem like nearly enough to say to everyone that contributed to making the fund run such a huge success! We would like to recognize all parents, staff, and community members that volunteered to help throughout the past few weeks to ensure everything was in place, tasks were accomplished, and everything ran smoothly and in a timely manner. We are humbled and forever grateful to Lenski's amazing community!

Lenski Exceeded Fund Run Goal!!

What an AMAZING success we had with our

Sprinting for the Stars Student Fund Run. We are OVERWHELMED to have exceeded our goal of $80,000 for the 3rd year in a row!!

We are kicking off prize week by inviting ALL STUDENTS to wear pajamas to school TOMORROW, OCTOBER 8TH.

An email confirming certain prize levels was sent on Friday. If your prize does not match up with your pledge records, please notify lenskifundrun[at]gmail[dot]com immediately!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the entire Lenski community of teachers, staff, parents and sponsors.

Our kids showed their school pride--and enthusiasm--running for 30 minutes in the crisp Colorado morning! Seeing the crowd of family and friends who were able to support the children was unforgettable.

Now let's finish strong! Time to gather and turn in all pledges by THIS WEDNESDAY, October 3rd. Be sure to include the donations!!

Sprinting for the Stars is TOMORROW!!

Tips For A Successful Race:

Get a Good Night Sleep Tonight;
Wear Comfortable Clothes and Running Shoes;
Eat a Good Breakfast;
Remember To Drink Water Before, During and After the Race;
Don't forget to get those last few pledges!! Pledge forms can be found here. Pledge online here. Pledges are due Wednesday, October 3rd!

We will have water stations available for students race day and music to keep the energy high!! Otter pops will be provided to all students to help replenish them after the race.

Volunteers are still needed on race day, so if you are able to come and cheer on your child, please consider volunteering! Water donations are also needed! Sign up here to volunteer/donate.

Volunteers Needed Race Day & Prize Week! Click here to sign up

Lenski students were treated to a special Pep Rally today to kick off "Sprinting for the Stars". Thank you to the Arapahoe High School TOMS and Cheerleaders for making it memorable! The kids are bringing home their pledge sheets today and ready to start raising funds for Lenski! (and for Prizes!!)

What is Sprinting for the Stars?

Our biggest fundraiser of the year! Students will ask family, friends and neighbors to sponsor them by either donating a flat amount or a dollar amount per lap. Students will run/walk as many laps as possible around a 1/8th mile track on the Lenski field for up to 30 minutes. This is shorter than last year - so adjust pledges accordingly!! Students will bring home their lap cards and collect the money pledged. Once the money is collected, prizes will be awarded to the students. Please remember to have SEPARATE pledge sheets and envelopes for each child!

Where will the money go?
All funds will go toward PTO's ongoing support of Lenski's staffing budget. This support supplements our district-apportioned funding and improves Lenski's ability to provide differentiated, small-group learning for ALL Lenski students. It is also used to make building and classroom improvements. Through all of our efforts, Lenski is able to provide a learning experience that far exceeds what the district funds!

What is our goal?
Help us reach our goal of $80,000. 100% of all donations go to Lenski!

What do the students gain from this experience?

A fun race day, an emphasis on healthy lifestyle through exercise, and a chance to earn prizes by reaching fundraising goals with pledges!
