Thank you to everyone who made Field Day this year so awesome for our students!
Field Day Coordinator, Sarah D'Orvilliers, did an amazing job taking charge of this year’s activities! Most of you may have noticed her stationed at the volunteer check in table on Field Day. Before the big day, she volunteered many hours behind the scenes creating a sign-up genius for staff volunteers, shopping for supplies, making event signs, making nametags and helping with equipment pre and post event. Thank you for all you did to make Field Day happen!
A shout out to Lenski special’s teachers and support staff who stepped in to man events this year, our classroom teachers who kept order as they escorted their classes through the day, our student Field Day Captains and 5th graders who ran events this year. You made it possible for our students to enjoy a successful field day! I appreciate all who volunteered to help run events, clean up and set up for Field Days.
Davis Williams used his physical education expertise to run events and help with field day setup. And Jean Vogel, Lydia Daugherty and Maggie Moore assisted in countless ways.
Also, thank you to Padja, who supplied us with tables and chairs, and moved equipment. Thank you to the cafeteria staff who graciously shared their space with our water and Popsicle crews. Finally, thank you to the Superstars and K+ staff for their support and the 5th grade teachers who assigned their awesome 5th graders to came out to run events for the Kindergaren-2nd graders. Please know I appreciate the assistance each one of you provided.
Finally, a well-deserved shout out to Barb DeSpain, who did everything she could to support field day with her positive, “can do” attitude.
What a wonderful team effort! Thank you again; it would not happen without you!
