International Education Week is November 13-17. For those of you who are new to LHS International Education Week has been a tradition at LHS since 2001. International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. Since November 2000, the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of State have celebrated International Education Week, and now the event is celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide. International Education Week is an ideal opportunity to encourage students to become globally competent and successful through international education and international engagement. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is an effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange.
