Does your child want to start playing guitar? This summer the Littleton Community Music Association (LCMA) is offering a rock and roll guitar music program at LENSKI!
Students entering 4th through 8th grade next year are invited to participate. Any parent or high school student who is interested in participating in the class, please contact the instructor, Mark Stookesberry at mulexboy[at]yahoo[dot]com. The repertoire will consist of classic rock and current pop tunes. The students will have the opportunity to suggest favorite songs or write their own that the whole group will perform. Beginning guitarists need no experience. This is great opportunity for the students since rehearsal is 4 days a week, and fifteen minutes of practice on their own outside of class which will yield enormous amounts of learning in one month’s time.
The program will run this summer from Tuesday, May 31st through Thursday, June 30th . There will be a concert on Thursday, June 30th at 6:30 PM at LENSKI. Classes will meet Monday through Thursday. The advanced guitar class will meet from 10:45 am-11:30 AM. The beginning guitar class will meet from 11:45 am-12:30 PM Later in the session the 2 classes will be combined and meet from 10:45-11:30 AM . Each class needs to have 10 students or more or class will be cancelled. Can’t make some sessions? Optional arrangements for Private Lessons can also be made or a combination of class meetings and private lessons. Check “*Option details” and I will contact you. Class will meet in the North Portable – The main building is closed. DO NOT GO THROUGH THE SCHOOL BUILDING. The cost for the entire camp is $170 which is under $10.00 an hour. Please make checks payable to: LCMA, and mail to: LCMA, 6574 S. Broadway, Ste 200, Littleton, CO 80121 no later than Friday, May 13, 2016.
