Our philosophy …
The Heritage High School Math Department devotes itself to meeting the needs of all students. During the 2019-2020 school year, we have adopted a new resource – Big Ideas – for Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II – both regular and honors levels. Big Ideas seamlessly blends exploratory activities, STEM performance tasks, and traditional instruction to help our students develop mathematical skills and precision, as well as their critical thinking and problem solving abilities.

GRAPHING CALCULATOR: Using technology as a tool for learning is a high priority in our math department. Students’ use of graphing calculators is an integral part of the learning process starting in Algebra I. We highly recommend students use a graphing calculator made by Texas Instrument (TI-84).
MANDATORY STATE GRADUATION COMPETENCY
All students, starting with the Class of 2021, must meet competency requirements for both English and Math to show that they are either college or career ready post high school. Littleton School District has worked hard to create several opportunities for students to reach these requirements.
