After carefully monitoring the forecast for extremely low temperatures in the early morning hours, the decision was made to have a two-hour delayed start for all LPS schools on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Delay/Closure ProceduresThe Heritage High School Science Department offers a wide range of courses for our students. All of our courses have a strong laboratory component; use inquiry based teaching methods, and incorporate various technologies (such as computer based simulations and calculator based lab technology using a variety of probes and statistical analyses on the graphing calculators).
Our core courses are Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. We also offer AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics I , AP Physics C, and AP Computer Science. For electives we offer: Astronomy, Environmental Science, Energy for the Future, Genetics, Physiology, and Plant Biology, .
