Education:  Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Colorado State University, Masters of Arts in Counseling specializing in School Counseling from the University Colorado, Colorado Springs.

Bio: This is my 10th year on the counseling team at Euclid Middle School.  I love working with middle school students and I can't imagine doing anything else. I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri but moved to Colorado in 1996. I have lived in Ft. Collins and Colorado Springs before I decided to make Denver my home. I enjoy snowboarding, wakeboarding, traveling to see the ocean and walking my Boston Terrier, Roxie.  I love to be outside exploring the great city of Denver.

Education: BA in English Education from the University of Iowa, Masters of Science in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix, Lone Tree, CO

Bio: This is my fourth year at Euclid and I am so excited to be here! I am originally from Iowa, but moved to Colorado in 2006.  Prior to working at Euclid, I was a middle school Language Arts teacher in Douglas County for six years, and school counselor in Iowa City, Iowa for two years. When I am not at Euclid, I enjoy spending time with my husband Chris and our daughters Lydia and Caroline. In our free time, we love to hike, swim, ski, and explore all that Colorado has to offer.

Role: School Social Worker for Trailblazer & Venture

Education:  Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, Masters of Arts in Social Work from Colorado State University specializing in School Social Work.

Bio: After receiving my Master’s degree in 2006, I’ve worked as a School Social Worker in both Jefferson County and Littleton Public Schools. My work has been in all age groups K-12, traditional, alternative and charter school programs; but I have found that middle school is where my heart wants to be! I am passionate about helping support students' social emotional wellbeing and think I have the best job in the world! This is my first year full time at Euclid Middle School on the counseling team and I am so excited to be here! I am originally from Massachusetts, but moved to Colorado in 1996. My husband and I are the proud parents of 2 sons and a rambunctious black labrador retriever. We love to spend our time together as a family traveling, playing board games, going to the kids’ various sporting events and being in the great outdoors of ColoRADo.

Ms. Morris and Mrs. Kolker are both very honored to be working with the students, staff and parents of the Euclid community! As counselors, we wear many hats and perform a variety of duties to best serve everyone. Many of our common responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Meeting with students individually to discuss social-emotional, academic, or career needs.
  • Running small groups throughout the school year with all three grade levels. Common groups we run each year are: friendship group, divorce group, and grief group.
  • Meeting with Core teachers bi-monthly to discuss students’ needs.
  • Meeting with parents to discuss their student’s social-emotional, academic or career needs.
  • Refer families to community resources when needed.
  • Working on maintaining and growing a positive culture and climate within our building.
