Hello Euclid Family! I am excited and honored to serve as the principal of Euclid Middle School. I started my career two decades ago as an English teacher at Heritage High School, where I was also a Newspaper Adviser, Student Government Sponsor, and Department Chair. While teaching, I also found a passion for assessing instructional strategies and served as an Instructional Coach for four years. From there I became the Dean of Students and an Assistant Principal, serving in that capacity for four years. All of these roles have given me the opportunity to work directly with students, teachers, and families to find ways to ensure our students are learning and growing to their full potential in a way that is engaging and relevant.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in English and Journalism Education from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. Then I attended the University of Phoenix and Argosy University, earning Master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Administration.

I am a proud Colorado native who loves to hike and spend time outdoors. I also love live music and try to get to as many concerts as possible. My husband and I have three children and two dogs, Brooks and Hobbes.

As the principal of Euclid Middle School, I am eager to get to know every student and family because I understand what a special community EMS truly is. I will work every day to ensure students and teachers are thriving in a middle school that partners with the families to create a community dedicated to our middle schoolers and their academic and social/emotional growth.

I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska and finished my HS years in Aurora, CO. I started my career in education in 2001 at the elementary level in Castle Rock, CO. I taught in the computer lab, PE, and 3 years as a 6th grade teacher. I moved to Administration at the middle school level in 2005 and have been doing it ever since. I left Douglas County School and moved to LPS in 2013. I love middle school students and can’t imagine doing anything else.

I attended University of Colorado at Boulder and finished my undergrad degree at University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Information Technology. I continued on at University of Phoenix and earned my Masters in School Administration and Supervision.

I love Colorado and all it has to offer. I'm a big fan of all the local sports teams and root for the Buffs. I am married to an amazing woman who is a 2nd grade teacher. I enjoy spending time with my family getting out to sporting events or outdoor activities.

I feel honored to be a part of Euclid and look forward to getting to know the great families in this community.

I am so grateful to be a part of the Falcon Family at Euclid Middle School to help our students learn and grow during these formative years. I started my career in Denver Public Schools at a 6-12 pathway school as a science teacher. I then moved to CEC Early College as a 9th grade biology teacher. Five of those years were split as a teacher and instructional coach/evaluator for teachers. I am now enjoying serving students in my community in LPS.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Boston University in Health Science and my Master’s degree from University of Colorado, Denver in Administration, Leadership & Policy Studies.

I am originally from Bainbridge Island, WA (just outside of Seattle), did my undergrad in Boston, MA and have called Colorado home for more than a decade. My husband, daughters and I love living in this beautiful state and spending as much time outdoors as possible, be it in our own backyard or in the mountains.
