Dear Goddard Parents and Guardians,
The change in start and end times has been a big transition for our families this year. Even though we know that our new school hours are the best learning times for middle school students, we are running into a few bumps before and after school.
Please read below and take note:
If you drive your student to school, please drop them off between 8:30-8:45 AM. We do not offer supervision for students prior to 8:30 AM. Students should be entering the building when our bell rings at 8:45 AM, so that they have time to go to their locker and be in their classroom by 8:54 AM when the final bell rings.
Our final bell rings at 3:50 PM...if you pick your student up after school is over, please arrange to be here no later than 4:00 PM. We do not offer a SACC (School Age Child Care) program for middle school students.
Students are only allowed to stay after school if they are enrolled in a club or activity or a teacher has scheduled them for extra support after school. They are not allowed to "hang out" until the 5:15 PMlate bus.
Our after school activities wrap up at 5:00 PM and our late buses depart at 5:15 AM. If you are picking up your student from an after school activity, please arrange to be here and waiting no later than 5:00 PM. For walkers, please consider that it is now dark at 5:00 PM.
There is no adult supervision after the late buses depart at 5:15 PM.
We appreciate the partnership with have with your family and need your support with these expectations.
Thank you,
Bryan
