  • NHS Bonfils Blood Drive

    Wanna be a hero and help save lives?  Did you know that approximately 10% of the nation's blood supply is given by high-school-aged donors?   National Honor Society is sponsoring a blood drive right here at Littleton High School on Thursday, January 25th, and Friday, January 26th.  If you would like to donate blood please contact Mr. Hahn at jhahn@lps.k12.co.us.  There are a limited number of spots and donors will be signed up on a first-come-first-serve basis.   • National Honor Society Tutoring

    Did you know that Littleton High School offers free one-on-one tutoring during the school day, as well as after school?  Tutoring is provided by junior and senior National Honor Society (NHS) members in the LHS Counseling office.  We will partner students based on specific subject and curriculum needs, so we find an NHS member who is competent, comfortable, and confident with teaching their fellow peers in that subject or curriculum.  If you would like to obtain an ongoing tutor or a tutor to help out as needed please click here and fill out the Google form.

  • Holiday Giving

    The Counseling Department will be helping students and families in need during the winter holidays by providing families with gift cards with the intention to purchase food or gifts for the winter holidays.  Ideally, gift cards can be to Target or Wal-Mart. If you know of any student and their family who is in need for the winter holiday please contact Josh Hahn at jhahn@lps.k12.co.us no later than December 15, 2017.  If you would like to make a donation please bring gift cards (please indicate the dollar amount for each card) to the Counseling Department no later than by December 15, 2017.   • Kindergarten Registration - January 29 & 30

    Kindergarten registration will be held at each elementary school on January 29 and 30, 2018. You can register your kindergartner by completing an online pre-registration form and visiting your local school.  HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD FOR KINDERGARTEN? Step One: Students New to LPS — Visit www.littletonpublicschools.net/kindergarten to preregister your kindergartner online any time before January 29th. Existing LPS Families — Contact your kindergartner’s school to set up an account for your kindergartner in your existing Family Portal account in Infinite Campus any time before January 29th.  Step Two: Attend an upcoming Kindergarten Information Session at your elementary school before January 29th. Check the district website or your school’s website for dates and times.  Step Three: Attend the Kindergarten Registration Event at your elementary school in January. After February 2nd, Kindergarten Registration will take place at the Education Services Center, 5776 S. Crocker St., Littleton, CO 80120. What do I need to bring with me? When you register your child at either your school or the Education Services Center, please bring the following items for your child: A printed copy of your online pre-registration, which you completed and printed at home Birth certificate Immunization records Proof of residency (house contract, deed, utility bill or lease agreement) Emergency contact information Parent Identification, i.e. driver’s license Do I have to live in the Littleton Public Schools district or in the neighborhood of my school of choice? No. LPS welcomes out-of-district students and we work with families to accommodate in-district optional enrollment whenever possible. Contact the LPS elementary school of your choice and ask about open enrollment and/or in-district optional enrollment opportunities.   • SAT w/ Essay OPT-IN Registration Jan 16 - Feb 14

    All juniors will take either the SAT or the SAT with Essay on April 10, 2018. Both of these options are provided at no cost to the student. For students who want to take the SAT with Essay, CollegeBoard will open a registration window to OPT-IN for the essay portion from January 16th through February 14th. Parents or students must contact CollegeBoard to register for the essay by going online at https://account.collegeboard.org/login/login and accessing the student’s personal account, or by calling 866-917-9030, Option 2. After February 14th, students will no longer be able to add or remove the Essay test in their CollegeBoard account. For more information, please visit the district's ACT & SAT page.    

  • Accepting Applications: Early Access to Kindergarten & 1st Grade

    Online applications for Early Access to kindergarten or 1st grade for the 2018-19 school year are now being accepted. The deadline for applications is April 1st, 2018. No applications will be accepted after that date. Early Access Application

  • Recommended 3rd grade instructional resource for English language arts to be on display at ESC

    The recommended third grade instructional resource for English language arts, ReadyGEN, will be on display at the Education Services Center from December 14, 2017 through January 19, 2018. Learning Services is recommending the comprehensive program, ReadyGEN by Pearson to be adopted and implemented as the third grade instructional resource for English language arts. This resource will support and enhance the instruction of Colorado Academic Standards and the Littleton Public Schools Universal Literacy Framework. This recommendation comes at the conclusion of input from Elementary principals and a review and recommendation from the literacy resource task-force. ReadyGEN instructional resource will be on display in the foyer of the Board Room at the Education Services Center (5776 South Crocker Street, Littleton) from December 14th to January 19th. A community information session to answer questions will be hosted in the foyer of the Board Room on January 11th from 4:00-5:30. The recommendation will be presented to the Board of Education for discussion on December 14, 2017.
