After carefully monitoring the forecast for extremely low temperatures in the early morning hours, the decision was made to have a two-hour delayed start for all LPS schools on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Technology, and my Administration and Policy Studies Certification. I believe that all students can learn and achieve at high levels and always work to ensure that they have the best educational and social opportunities.
Hello, my name is Dr. Erica García and I am proud and excited to be the Assistant Principal of Gudy Gaskill Elementary!
I am currently beginning my 28 th year as an educator. I have served in several roles from Paraprofessional to School and District Administrator all in districts in the Denver metro area.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from the Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2000. I obtained a Master’s degree in Linguistically Diverse Education from the University of Colorado- Boulder in 2007. In 2015, I earned my Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from the University of Denver.
Throughout my career in education, I have focused my work on advocating for equitable high- quality instruction for all students. I have a passion for strong family and community involvement in education, which has highly contributed to my accomplishments as an instructional leader.
I am confident the 2024-25 school year will be a success, and that with your support, our Trailblazers will be able to thrive in Gaskill’s inclusive community and joyful learning Environment.
