At Powell we embrace the use of technology in the classroom, and at home, to support learning and enhance the educational experience.  As such, we utilize various forms of technology throughout our school-day; from the tv monitors used for daily announcements and updates, to the smart boards teachers utilize in class, to the Chromebooks issued to each student at the beginning of the school year. Using technology extends from the classroom to the home, when students bring their Chromebooks home to complete assignments, check their teachers websites, or log on to Infinite Campus to check their grades.

The Chromebook Initiative began in LPS during the 2015-16 school year.  More information about this program can be found by following these links:

With our increased use of technology we have also increased our Technology Support here at Powell.  Marita Lythgoe has joined us for the 2017-18 school year as a full time Tech Coach.  Mrs. Lythgoe works throughout the building to support students and staff with technological needs. We encourage students to visit Mrs, Lythgoe in the Media Center for technology support.  Parents can contact her at mlythgoe[at][dot]us or 303-347-3996.
