  • SAT w/ Essay OPT-IN Registration Jan 16 - Feb 14

    All juniors will take either the SAT or the SAT with Essay on April 10, 2018. Both of these options are provided at no cost to the student. For students who want to take the SAT with Essay, CollegeBoard will open a registration window to OPT-IN for the essay portion from January 16th through February 14th. Parents or students must contact CollegeBoard to register for the essay by going online at and accessing the student’s personal account, or by calling 866-917-9030, Option 2. After February 14th, students will no longer be able to add or remove the Essay test in their CollegeBoard account. For more information, please visit the district's ACT & SAT page.    

  • 5th Grade Parent Night - Jan. 16th

    Littleton Public Schools invites parents to attend its annual 5th Grade Parent Night. All parents of current 5th graders who are interested in learning more about the unique opportunities available in LPS middle schools are encouraged to attend. January 16, 2018 - 7 p.m. Heritage High School Theater 1401 W. Geddes Ave., Littleton CO 80120 The evening will focus on a conversation about what to expect from the LPS middle school experience. Principals Cindy Corlett (Euclid Middle School), Bryan Breuer (Goddard Middle School), James O’Tremba (Newton Middle School), Steve Wolf (Powell Middle School) and Ashley Broer (Options Middle School and Phoenix 6-8) will all be present, along with Director of Secondary Education Clay Abla.   • Accepting Applications: Early Access to Kindergarten & 1st Grade

    Online applications for Early Access to kindergarten or 1st grade for the 2018-19 school year are now being accepted. The deadline for applications is April 1st, 2018. No applications will be accepted after that date. Early Access Application

  • Recommended 3rd grade instructional resource for English language arts to be on display at ESC

    The recommended third grade instructional resource for English language arts, ReadyGEN, will be on display at the Education Services Center from December 14, 2017 through January 19, 2018. Learning Services is recommending the comprehensive program, ReadyGEN by Pearson to be adopted and implemented as the third grade instructional resource for English language arts. This resource will support and enhance the instruction of Colorado Academic Standards and the Littleton Public Schools Universal Literacy Framework. This recommendation comes at the conclusion of input from Elementary principals and a review and recommendation from the literacy resource task-force. ReadyGEN instructional resource will be on display in the foyer of the Board Room at the Education Services Center (5776 South Crocker Street, Littleton) from December 14th to January 19th. A community information session to answer questions will be hosted in the foyer of the Board Room on January 11th from 4:00-5:30. The recommendation will be presented to the Board of Education for discussion on December 14, 2017.

    Feeling adventurous this Thursday?  We are!  We start our day with an assembly for our 8th graders- Adventures in Arts.  We end our day with 6th grade basketball practice, Art Club and Homework Club.

    Our late start Wednesday is an earlier start for our Student Council members, who have a meeting at 8:30 this morning.  Everyone else, we'll see you at 8:55!  7th grade basketball has practice after school and our annual GeoBee takes place at 3 pm- good luck to our competitors!

  • Let's Play!

    If you have been waiting for a chance to be in a school wide play, wait no more. Powell is having a play! Anyone can audition!  It is open to every 6th, 7th, and 8th grader! The play is a comedy called “Cases of Mistaken Identity.” It will be performed in April. There will be a Parent’s Info Night on Jan. 22 at 7pm in the Cafetorium. Auditions are Jan. 30th & Feb. 1st from  3-5pm. Audition time slots will be available starting Jan. 23rd. A one minute monologue is required to audition. Come to the info night for more details!

    We're back after a long(er) weekend away... hope you all enjoyed the extra day off of school!  We start our day with our last Prospective Parent Tour of the year, at 9:15.  We wrap up the day with our 8th grade boys basketball team heading to Goddard for a game, our 6th grade basketball season starting with a practice here, and Brain Bowl meets.
