Lunch Menu Price Increase 

Choose Which Menus to Receive Each Month

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR FAMILIES THAT QUALIFIED FOR FREE OR REDUCED MEAL BENEFITS LAST SCHOOL YEAR!

If your family qualified for free or reduced meal benefits last school year and a new application has not yet been completed, you must complete a new application before the 30 day grace period ends on September 30, 2013. If you have more than one child (even if they are at different schools in our district), please include all your children on one application.  Each family only needs one application. Failure to return the application before September 30th will result in the loss of any benefits you may be currently receiving and your family will be required to pay full price for school meals. You may return the application to any school cafeteria or to our Nutritional Services Office at 5776 S. Crocker Street, Littleton, Co. STUDENT SCHOOL MEAL ACCOUNT INFORMATION

In an effort to efficiently serve all students who participate in our school breakfast and/or lunch programs, we ask parents and guardians to assure money is deposited regularly on their student’s meal account. When students have money on their lunch account, our meal line runs efficiently, giving students more time to enjoy their meal. 

When a student’s lunch account falls below $5.00 we will give a gentle verbal reminder to the student.  We will then follow-up with another verbal reminder as well as a written reminder indicating they need lunch money deposited on their account. Additionally, telephone calls are generated on a daily basis and are distributed to families who have a meal charge on their students account. For your convenience we offer on line services and we encourage parents to sign up for the automatic email balance reminders at www.MySchoolBucks.com

Money for meals may be sent to school with your child or be deposited on line atwww.MySchoolBucks.com .  If a charge occurs, parents are responsible for paying off charges on a regular basis.

FREE AND REDUCED MEAL BENEFITS

If a family applies for Free and Reduced Meal benefits, please know that it may take up to 5 days to process the application.  Once the application is processed a notification letter indicating benefits will be sent from the LPS Nutrition Services office.  Parents may also call 303-347-3357 to inquire about their benefits. Families are responsible for providing money for school breakfast/lunch or pack a lunch from home until the application processed.                     

Littleton Public Schools Food Services Program has received confirmation from its current beef suppliers that Lean Finely Textured Beef treated with ammonium hydroxide (referred to as ‘pink slime’) is not used in any of its beef products served to our students.
