  • LPSF Spirit Celebration Postponed

A message from Littleton Public Schools Foundation to the community We are committed to our community! The Littleton Public Schools Foundation is deeply committed to supporting students, staff and families within Littleton Public Schools and the health and wellbeing of our community is of utmost importance to us. As our school district, community, state, country and those around the world respond to COVID-19 by making difficult decisions, we too must make difficult decisions. With the closure of Littleton Public Schools through March 29th and the fact that Governor Polis has called for all community events to be cancelled, we have decided to postpone our annual fundraising event, the Spirit Celebration, which was scheduled for April 18th. We are dedicated to helping protect our most vulnerable community members and do our part in mitigating the spread of the coronavirus. We know you join us in this effort. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting LPS students through their educational journey as well as funding important social, emotional, and mental wellness programs to help them navigate life and prepare them for their future, we feel it is critical that we continue our work in partnering with businesses and community members to provide needed funding that helps our youth. We are diligently working with our venue partners at CU South Denver Campus on possible dates to host the event in the coming months. Thank you for your understanding, patience and partnership. Please take care of yourself and your loved ones during this stressful and unpredictable time. All LPSF upcoming events are postponed until further notice

  • Suspension of LPS Activities and CHSAA Athletics (Coronavirus)

Dear LPS Parents and Guardians: More and more events and large group gatherings across the nation are being limited in an attempt to slow the spread of Coronavirus. In addition, Governor Polis and various state agencies such as the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) are making similar decisions today regarding Coronavirus that affect LPS. As you know, this situation is fluid and changes rapidly. As we react to these decisions as well as directives from various health agencies, we remain focused on our students, our staff, our families and our wider community. We will continue to do what we can and what we are instructed to do to keep those most vulnerable in our community safe. As of today: Elementary Schools: All after school activities, clubs, enrichment and evening performances are being suspended immediately and will not take place today. Students who were planning to participate in clubs and activities after school today will be supervised until parents can pick them up. All out of school field trips and community outings will be suspended beginning March 13 through April 5.  Schools will communicate individually regarding the ability to reschedule these events.   School Age Child Care (SACC) remains open for regular hours.   Middle Schools: All after school activities, athletics and events will not be held today after school and will be suspended beginning after school today, March 12 through April 5. No activity buses (late run buses) will be run during this time.   All out of school field trips and community outings will be suspended beginning March 13 through April 5. Schools will communicate individually regarding the ability to reschedule these events.   High Schools: CHSAA sponsored athletic events and practices in LPS will be suspended beginning at midnight tonight through April 5th. CHSAA has suspended all CHSAA sports practices and competitions beginning March 13 through April 5.  All other high school sponsored activities and events are being suspended beginning after school today through April 5. All out of school field trips and community outings will be suspended beginning March 13 through April 5.
