The Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) at Littleton Preparatory Charter School (LPCS) is called “Parents of Prep Students” (POPS-PTO). The mission of POPS-PTO is to organize the parent community in such a way that our activities will support the education and well being of the students and staff of LPCS. The membership of POPS-PTO is open to all parents and guardians of LPCS students, as well as, to the teachers and staff of LPCS. POPS-PTO membership is done on a volunteer basis only.

POPS-PTO activities at LPCS include the following:

Coordinating homeroom parents for every class (these parents/guardians, in turn, help with organizing and obtaining additional volunteers for classroom parties, field trips, and other activities)

Coordinating volunteers for the hot lunch program

Coordinating several fundraising projects, including the Griffin Gallop.

Coordinating school events such as book fairs, used uniform sales, Skate City, dinner nights, parent/child dances and events and Pirates Cove
Supporting the annual field day with volunteers and refreshments
Supporting the Kindergarten and 8^th Grade Graduating Classes with refreshments and ceremonies
Supporting other school events – such as Back to School Night, Kindergarten Information Night, vision and hearing screening.

The money raised through fundraisers provided several school and classroom improvements, such as:

Replaced original 1997 playground equipment and structure with entirely new & redesigned equipment and structure, 2019
Swings for the playground
Basketball court on the playground
New gym floor
Basketball hoops for the gym
Chromebooks
Joy Committee (hospitality for the staff year round)
New Teacher Computers
New books for the school library with profits from the book fairs
Three parties per year for each classroom
Field trips for each student
Teacher/staff appreciation events (for example: dinner during conferences, holiday luncheons, coffee carts during in-service days)
Marquee
