Littleton Preparatory Governing Board

The role of the Littleton Prep Governing Board is to uphold the mission, vision, and policies of the school as well as oversight of financial matters. The Governing Board is comprised of 5 parent volunteers who serve the school in 3 year terms. They generally hold their regular meetings on the third Thursday of every month at 5:00 pm at the school. Parents are invited to attend the meetings and are welcome to request agenda items for these meetings or to participate in the public comment agenda item of any meeting. J.D. McCrumb - President - (Board term 2023 - 2026)
J.D. McCrumb is a Littleton native and proud product of Littleton Public Schools. After earning a degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Montana State University, JD pursued a career in nonprofit and public service and currently serves as the Town Administrator for Columbine Valley, Colorado.In addition to that role, J.D. is active on two non-profit boards, the Town Hall Arts Center in Littleton and the Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund in Denver. Prior to joining the LPCS Governing Board, J.D. contributed to the LPCS Accountability Committee. With his wife Briana and two daughters, J.D. spends free time attending theater and concerts, traveling and meals with friends.

Kristin Kemp - Vice President - (Board term 2022-2025)
Kristin Kemp and her husband Joshua are proud parents of two young Griffins. Kristin has more than 20 years of non-profit/government experience. She has been the Communications Officer for the Colorado State Land Board since 2016, which is a state agency that stewards a $4 billion trust for the benefit of Colorado public schools. An avid reader and art lover, Kristin previously did communication for the University of Denver, Boston University, and the Denver Art Museum. She holds a BS in journalism from CU-Boulder (2003), an MBA from CU-Denver (2009), and a master's certificate in sustainable agriculture from CSU (2022). Prior to joining the LPCS Governing Board, Kristin volunteered on the Accountability Committee and her husband is a regular DOG Dad. When they aren't at LPCS, you can find the Kemps enjoying all four seasons outdoors.

Jordan Cassidy - Secretary - (Board term 2024 - 2027)
Jordan Cassidy and his wife Maggie have two sons who attend LPCS. Jordan worked in risk management for 10 years before starting LifeLegacy, a non-profit focused technology company. He graduated from business school at the University of Rhode Island and became a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy through the American College of Financial Services. Jordan volunteered on the LPCS Accountability Committee and currently sits on the board of directors for the Littleton Public School Foundation. When not working, you can find the Cassidys hiking, paddle boarding, or playing soccer and basketball.

Tony Lucero - Treasurer - (Board term 2023 - 2026)
Tony and his wife Carla are both Denver natives. They have 3 daughters who attend LPCS. He graduated from Denver West High School and attended Colorado Northwestern Community College to study business management and play basketball. He currently works as a SR HRIS Analyst for Terumo BCT, a medical device manufacturer. He is excited about the opportunity to help shape the educational future of LPCS. When not working you can find the Luceros either on the lake paddle boarding, or at an athletic event for one of their children, many of which Tony coaches.

Alecia Schattinger -  Member at Large - (Board term 2024 - 2027)
Alecia Shattinger and her husband, Shane, are proud parents of a son and daughter who attend LPCS. Alecia holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. With extensive experience teaching elementary students in both Texas and Colorado, she has specialized as a Special Education teacher with a focus on Learning Disabilities. Alecia's dedication to collaborative teamwork has consistently supported the success and well-being of her students. Driven by a deep passion for ensuring quality education for all, Alecia is committed to making a positive impact on the school's community. In her free time, Alecia enjoys cooking, entertaining friends and family, and traveling.
