I am a Colorado native. I grew up in Colorado Springs and moved to the Highlands Ranch area 25 years ago. I served as principal at Mark Twain Elementary from 2017 - 2020 and I’m excited to be here at Dr. Justina Ford Elementary. To serve in this outstanding district is a privilege and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work among such talented educators.
I graduated from Colorado State University with a BS In Human Development and Family Studies and earned my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix and my Principal Licensure through Lamar University in Texas. I have taught 3rd - 5th grade and also worked as a Response to Intervention Specialist before I moved into administration in 2014.
Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, gardening, running, biking, four-wheeling, and reading. I have two children, Sam is studying to be a firefighter, and Ben, who serves as a firefighter in Colorado Springs, CO. We have a German Shorthaired Pointer, Millie that is a huge part of our family.
I’m delighted to be the principal of Dr. Justina Ford Elementary and am committed to doing what I can to make every student and parent feel they are a valued member of the school community.
