PTO Annual Fund Drive

Every year the Newton Middle School PTO holds ONE primary fundraiser…the PTO Annual Fund
Drive, where 100% of donations are directly deposited into the PTO account. This means there are
no fees withheld by third parties, no students serving as sales force on their neighborhood streets
during a pandemic, etc.
This year our goal is to raise $30,000. We are recommending a donation of $150 per family – less
than a dollar-a-day that our students are in school. EVERY GIFT COUNTS!
What does PTO do with the money you donate?
● Funding staff appreciation events throughout the year
● Celebrating our students and building community among grade levels
● Funding of capital improvements such as enhancements for the Rock Wall in the new building & the fitness center for the new building
● Funding of classroom enhancements like the Reading Counts program, heart monitors for the PE program, drones for Knight Time enrichment
● Funding of teacher grants (big ticket classroom wishlist items & professional development) both in the building for Newton staff and at the LPS district level
● Supporting student families that have been identified confidentially by the counseling staff as needing a hand up during the holidays with gift cards for groceries and presents If you are able, please donate. We’re running the Annual Fund Drive from now through the end of December.

    CORPORATE MATCH As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, Newton Middle School PTO qualifies for Corporate Matching. If your company matches donations, please ask at work about requirements.
