The sTEm and science department at Newton Middle School will be doing a lengthy collaborative PBL unit this semester. Wednesday (February 26th) we had Arrow Electronics come out to Newton to spark the energy behind this undertaking. Engineers and sports marketing reps from Arrow worked with the entire 8th grade class to integrate the science and sTEm department for a physics and engineering unit. Along with this they brought their Semi Autonomous Motorcar (SAM) Corvette race car! This car has been uniquely designed for a quadrapalegic race car driver.
