Summer Reading!

Data shows that summer reading is crucial to students maintaining the gains made during the school year. I encourage you to set summer reading goals for your children and/or family! Make it fun, keep a tally of pages read by family member, including parents! Make a family reading goal with a prize if you reach it. Have a family reading night once per week, try listening to recorded books on tape instead of watching T.V.

There are so many ways to make sure your children don’t lose ground this summer.
