Commemorating Super Bowl 50, the NFL has created the Super Bowl High School Honor Roll, celebrating more than 2,000 high schools and nearly 3,000 players and coaches who participated in the past 49 Super Bowls. Three former Heritage football players are included on this exclusive list.

In a letter to Heritage principal Stacey Riendeau, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wrote, “As a member of this special group, a commemorative Golden Football produced by Wilson is being sent to the high school of every player or head coach who was on an active roster in a Super Bowl.”

Colorado is not the football hotbed that California or Florida might be, so it is extra special that Heritage has produced three Super Bowl caliber athletes: Marc Munford (Class of 1983, Super Bowl XXIV), Brad Henke (Class of 1984, Super Bowl XXIV), and Tom Rouen (Class of 1986, Super Bowls XXXII & XXXIII).  All three played for the Denver Broncos.

The footballs were formally presented to the school at the Winter Spirit Week Assembly on Friday, February 5 - just two days before the Broncos take on the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.
