Administration

Principal: Mr. Joe Hayes

It is with great excitement and eagerness that I continue the excellent work we are doing here at Field Elementary. I am honored to be the prinicipal of such a dynamic and engaged school. I treasure the work I am able to do with parents, and community partners that have helped Field in so many ways. Over the past 13 years, I worked in the Sheridan School District. After teaching 7th and 8th grade Language Arts for seven years, I spent a year as an instructional coach at the secondary level. The past five years were very rewarding as I became an elementary assistant principal for one year and then spent four years guiding Alice Terry Elementary.

My experiences have helped shape my vision and leadership style. I work hard to establish meaningful relationships with staff, students and families. Collaboration and clear communication are vital to me and I strive to partner with families to ensure student success and growth. Finally, I want our school to be a place where kids love to be, teachers love to work and families love to visit.

As a father of two elementary-aged children, I understand the demands of school for both students and families. I will ensure we do everything we can to support the academic, behavioral, emotional and social growth of each and every student. Field has an amazing teaching staff and I look forward to leading them in this challenging and rewarding work.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me in person, via email or on the phone. Again, thank you for the honor of working with your children and allowing me to help them become the best they can be today, tomorrow and in the future!

Thank you,
Joe Hayes

Assistant Principal: Amber Struthers

I am honored to continue supporting the Field community as the assistant principal. I look forward to continuing to partnering with you to provide a safe, fun, and enriching education for your children at Field. My passion is to create meaningful and trusting relationships with students, staff, and the community to ensure all academic and social emotional needs are being met.

Prior to joining Field, I worked in Greeley, Colorado as a teacher and then moved to Castle Rock after my husband was relocated for his job.  I then moved to a leadership position at South Ridge Elementary as the Intervention Specialist along with supporting the school on our administration team.  My passion for administration grew and I went back to school to further understand how to best support our students and communities in an administrative role.  Through my professional development, I have focused on equity, academic support, and social emotional learning to provide a well rounded education for all students.  I am excited to bring my experiences to support the Field community as the assistant principal.

Outside of school, I have a wonderful husband, Cameron, along with our two children Callie (6) and Hudson (4). We spend a lot of our time camping, hiking, and going to the museum with our friends and family.

I look forward to collaborating with you, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me via phone, email, or in person.  Thank you for the privilege of working with your children as we all grow together.

Thank you,

Amber Struthers
