Thank you, thank you, thank you!  Lenski parents, staff and 5th graders, you made it possible for our students to enjoy two successful field days!  I appreciate how many parents volunteered to help run events, clean up and set up for Field Days, and how many people offered to help when we needed last minute substitutes.

I wanted to give a special thank you to our Field Day Coordinator, Rene Meale. She volunteered many hours behind the scenes securing volunteers, shopping for supplies, sending emails, making nametags and organizing equipment.  Additionally she helped to set up for field days over the weekend and the days before the events.  She was also always the last person standing when clean up finally ended each day.  What an asset she is to our field day team!

I also wanted to thank the Hamilton family for the over the top contribution to volunteer hours for our field day.  Rene Meale said it best when she said, "Logan Hamilton is a rock star!"  When invited to help set up a second time before field day, he accepted.  Logan, his wife Elizabeth, and their son Kaiden, also helped with tear down crew each day.  Also, because Logan is a rock star, I'd hate to forget to mention that he also ran multiple events on field days as well.

Dr. DeSpain gave us incredible support and each teacher chaperoned their classes. Our special's teachers and support staff also took shifts running field day events. Davis Williams used his physical education expertise to run events and help with field day setup.  Jan Jack, Kathy Fennelly and Carrie Orcutt came early to help set up.  Jean Vogel, Peggy Simpson and Maggie Moore assisted in countless administrative ways.

Also, thank you to Pedja, who after helping set up the fun run course, supplied us with tables and chairs and moved equipment.  Thank you to Carol VanDeWeghe and the cafeteria staff who graciously shared the freezers and sinks with our water and Popsicle crews.  Finally, thank you to the Superstars staff for their support and the 5th grade teachers who allowed the awesome 5th graders to came out to run events for the 1st & 2nd grade field day.  Please know I appreciate the assistance each one of you provided.

What a wonderful team effort!  Thank you again; it would not happen without you!
