Next week we are teaming up with Aurora Warms the Night, a non-profit organization that works with homeless populations and those struggling to find shelter. Each grade level will be collecting specific items to build warming kits for people in need, starting Tuesday, October 27 through Thursday, October 29. There will be collection boxes outside classroom doors. Please note the size of the requested items as the kits will be contained in gallon Ziplock bags.
Kindergarten: Toothpaste (0.5 oz) and toothbrush
1st Grade: Chewy granola bars or gummy snacks
2nd Grade: Lotion (2 oz) and deodorant (0.5 oz)
3rd Grade: Chapstick/Vaseline (travel size) and tissue pocket pack
4th Grade: Large trash bag (leaf/lawn size) or gallon Ziplock bags
5th Grade: Long socks (1 pair) and hand warmers
