Battle of the Books (BoB) is an exciting, collaborative team competition for 4th and 5th grade students. We will meet during lunch to chat about the books from our BoB list that we’ve read, play some games, and practice quizzing each other. We will also compete with each other in quiz show-type contests, and then our top 5 Battle of the Books players will represent Sandburg in a competition against other LPS schools (tentatively set for February 27, 2017).
We will meet in the library during lunch and lunch recess on Mondays beginning October 17 (we will not meet on November 14 due to the book fair being in the library). Bringing a sack lunch on those days will be helpful to maximize our “BoB” practice time.
● We may add some additional time in January if we feel the need for more practice, but it will be during school hours.
