Do you love to read? Are you looking for ideas of some books to read over the summer? Battle of the Books may be just what you’re looking for! Battle of the Books (BoB) is open to students in 4th and 5th grades for the coming school year. There are 15 books to read and you can start reading during the summer. After school starts in the fall, we will begin to have BoB club meetings where we will discuss the books and do some fun activities and competitions involving the books. Then, in winter we will compete in a district-wide Battle of the Books competition with other elementary schools. Even if you don’t think you’ll participate in BoB, all the books on the list are great choices for summer reading.
