Student learning in Vocal Music focuses on correct vocal technique and improved music reading skills. Creative expression is developed through individual, small group and large group activities. Included in this course are basic music theory, music appreciation, and opportunities for composition and performance. This class has three major performances: a holiday concert, a mini musical and a short play. Skills taught are listening, vocal production, music reading and public performance etiquette.
The Euclid Orchestra program is designed to give students training on string instruments from a beginner’s level to an advanced level. Musical growth is experienced through individual testing and large group participation. Students are taught musicianship, listening skills, history, self-discipline, theory, and public performance etiquette.
