Students Excel in District Chess Tournament

The annual Littleton Public Schools District Chess Tournament was a huge success. Held at Newton Middle School on December 3rd, around 150 students in grades K-8 played five rounds of chess over the course of the tournament. A winner was named for each age division:

  • Kindergarten Highest Scorer – Kyle Kitchens from Runyon Elementary
  • Kindergarten/First Grade – Levi Hartzell from Littleton Academy
  • Second Grade – Finian Collins from Lenski Elementary
  • Third Grade – Kiernan Luther from Runyon Elementary
  • Fourth Grade – Gabe Brock from Lenski Elementary
  • Fifth Grade – Conall Liburdi from Littleton Academy
  • Sixth - Eighth Grade – Olga Sorbala from Goddard Middle School
