  • Feb 29-Taste of the Village | 29 de febrero-Sabores de The Village

Taste of the Village Thursday, February 29, 5:30-7:00 pm The Taste of the Village is a community meal where families can share food that has cultural, traditional or personal meaning and significance to them. Think school-wide pot-luck with bite- size samples. Look out for a sign up in your child’s classroom about a week prior to the event. If your child rides the bus, please RSVP to Elizabeth at emachado@lps.k12.co.us.   In addition to bringing food, families are welcome to bring décor or family items. For example, one family is bringing western belt buckles, another family is bringing Mexican vases, another is bringing baseball decor. If there is something else your family would like to contribute we invite you to share music, clothing or dance. Please email Elizabeth at emachado@lps.k12.co.us if your family would like to bring items. Items will be displayed in the gym. Tables will be set up in the cafeteria with the food but seating will be limited. Please plan for a family member to write down a little information about the dish on a card that will be next to the dish.
