At LPS Nutrition Services we are committed to providing high quality, healthy meals to our students. We feel it is important to ensure we feed all kids, every day, in an equitable manner. As such, we do our best to ensure parents are notified when their students' lunch accounts contain a negative balance. Students at all grade levels are allowed to charge meals. Nutrition Services and school staff make every effort to contact parents and inform them when their students' are charging meals. Per Federal Regulations, nutrition service departments cannot take on bad debt. Therefore, bad debt must be covered by other sources such as the district general fund or donations. Please see the document below for details.
Please take advantage of the option to prepay your student's meal accounts. Prepaid meal accounts help the lunch lines go faster and give students more time to eat, relax and play. It also gives you the peace of mind of knowing your student will always have money for lunch. You can pay with a credit card online or at the school with cash or check.
Additionally, staff interested in creating a prepaid account can request one here.
Check your students' lunch account balances, add money to their accounts, see what they've been purchasing, apply for free/reduced meals, and get low balance notifications using SchoolCafe. Online payments are a simple, safe, and secure way to make payments to your students' accounts 24 hours a day at your convenience.
