Mrs. Brotherton

Hi! My name is Jackie Brotherton. I have been teaching at Mark Twain since 2001. I have taught Kindergarten for 16 years and 1st grade for 5. I graduated from Metro State (back when it was a college) with my degree in Behavioral Sciences. I also have completed my Masters program in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University. I am married and have 2 daughters, both proud graduates of Arapahoe High School, just like me! My youngest is a theater kid and my oldest moved back to Denver after graduating from Kansas University with a degree in History. She is a paralegal. I enjoy reading and playing the piano when I can squeeze them in! We love living and working in the Twain community and feel so blessed to have such a great neighborhood to call home. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about Kindergarten at Twain - please feel free to send me an e-mail at jbrotherton[at][dot]us.

Mrs. Montequin

Hi! My name is Leah Montequin. I'm excited to be part of the Twain Kindergarten Team this year. A little bit about me: this is my 21st year of teaching. I have been with Littleton Public Schools for 16 years as a literacy specialist, 1st grade teacher, &, for the last 6 years, as a Kindergarten teacher at Peabody Elementary. Before that I taught in Iowa City, Iowa as well as Madison, Wisconsin. I grew up in Michigan & gradually moved west from the Baltimore/DC area. I have a BA from the University of Michigan & MA in Elementary Education (with an emphasis in literacy) from the University of Iowa. My husband & I have a son & a daughter (who are both proud Heritage High School graduates) & 3 dogs! I love spending my day with kindergarteners. They have such curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
