Welcome to Peabody Elementary!

The Peabody staff and I would like to warmly welcome you to Peabody Elementary School. Peabody is filled with enthusiastic students willing to learn, supportive parents/guardians interested in their children's education, and a dedicated professional staff committed to meeting the needs of all of our students.

Peabody offers a strong academic program focusing on literacy (reading and writing), math, social studies, and science.  Students also enjoy weekly physical education, art, music, and library classes.  Technology instruction is integrated into the classrooms.  Our third through fifth graders have one-to-one access to technology in the classroom.  All of our classrooms have SMART Boards to utilize.

In addition to our core academic programs, we offer a social-emotional program, Second Step for all students in grades kindergarten-fifth.  This program teaches students to understand and manage their emotions, control their reactions, be aware of others’ feelings, and have the skills to problem-solve and make responsible decisions.

At Peabody, we value each child as a unique individual with unlimited potential for success.  Our staff works collaboratively to ensure that we are able to meet every child’s unique needs.  In addition to experienced and enthusiastic classroom teachers, we have a talented staff that includes learning resource teachers, a social worker, full-time literacy teacher, full-time gifted and talented teacher, specials teachers, and our extended special education team.  Furthermore, our dedicated support staff diligently works alongside our teachers and students to provide additional assistance as needed.

Peabody is a well-loved neighborhood school.  We are fortunate to enjoy magnificent support from our families.  Volunteers are essential to our school and provide countless hours of time throughout the year. Our PTO is very active and supportive of our work to make a difference for all students.

We are extremely proud of our school and the learning environment that we strive to create for all children.  Please contact the front office at 303-347-4625 if you would like to arrange a tour.  I would be thrilled to share our special school with you.
