Our Mission:
Investing in a strong leadership foundation in order to build relationships between students, parents, staff, and the community.

The Eugene Field Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is an organization of parents and staff committed to assisting the school in attaining the highest level of education for our students. No membership dues are necessary to be part of this organization. If you are a parent, guardian, or staff member of a Field student, you are automatically a member of PTO!

The PTO sponsors numerous special events, educational programs, and fundraisers throughout the year. Please come to the monthly PTO meetings (dates and times to be announced) to learn more about your child's school and how you can help the school be more effective in helping students achieve their dreams.   For more information, you may leave a message for our PTO President at 303-347-4475.

Volunteer Opportunities

BOXTOPS: We are collecting Boxtops for education. You may drop them off in the office, or send them to school with your student.
Our biggest fund raiser of the year begins in September! Students sell a variety of wrapping paper, and gifts to friends and family. Profits enable us to purchase much needed books, equipment, field trips, and other extras! Volunteers are needed to help distribute purchased items among classrooms in the middle of October (approximately, 1-2 hours).

FAMILY FUN RUN: What do you get when you mix fitness and fun? We’ve got it! Students and family members run together along a course set up on the Field Elementary field. This is our biggest annual fundraising event! Volunteers are needed for 2-3 hour shifts throughout the day..  Please be generous with your time, this is a BIG event!

If interested in helping for the 2021 run, please contact Tom Wetzel at twetzel[at][dot]us

STUDENT PICTURES: Come help with hairdos and smiles, it’s easy and fun! Picture day is scheduled for September 22nd. Also, class pictures will be in spring of 2022, and 1-2 Volunteers will be needed for this day as well.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT: Volunteers are needed to sort and bag donations (2 hours).
FIELD DAY: A BIG event in May! The students love this- fun in the sun with games and contests in our huge schoolyard. Volunteers are needed to supervise games, hand out popsicles, set up and take down.  If interested in helping, please contact Tom Wetzel at twetzel[at][dot]us
LIBRARY HELP: We could really use help with checking out books during your child’s regular weekly trip to the library. By helping Mrs. Bossart, she can spend more one-on-one time helping the kids find the books they are looking for. Also, she could always use help with getting books back on their shelves when they are returned. If interested, please contact Mrs. Bossart at kbossart[at][dot]us
CLIMBING WALL/FITNESS ASSESSMENT: Assist Mr. Wetzel supervising kids and helping them into harnesses. Climbing wall is offered throughout the year, but scheduling may vary (2 hour shifts). He could also use help during Fitness stations and recording results (1-4 hr. shifts depending on your time).
If interested, please contact Mr. Wetzel at twetzel[at][dot]us
ART CLASSROOM HELP: No Experience Necessary! Come help Ms.Byers in your child’s art class or any art class. A great way to get involved, even if its for one day, one month, or all year. You are always welcome.   If interested, please contact Ms. Byers at
MUSIC HELP: Mrs. Christian would love help when it is time for your child’s music program. She is looking for people who could help with copying and folding music program, moving instruments, or just general set-up. We will get in touch as your child’s performance gets close.
If interested, please contact Mrs. Christian at lchristian[at][dot]us
