Core Knowledge is a clear and sequential body of knowledge that builds each year beginning with What your Sixth Grader Needs to Know, What your Seventh Grader Needs to Know, What your Eighth Grader Needs to Know by E.D. Hirsch, Jr. Because we are a public school in Colorado, we have aligned CK with Colorado Academic Standards. The body of knowledge can be found in the Core Knowledge Sequence and the text Core Virtues by Mary Beth Klee.

My husband, five children, and I have called Colorado home for the past 21 years. Prior to that, we called many other states home while the US Navy ordered us around this beautiful country of ours. The Pine Tree State was my favorite.
While this is my second year at Littleton Academy, I have taught math for over twenty years. My credentials include a math degree from Grove City College, a masters degree in curriculum and instruction from Concordia University, and a National Board Certification in math. I am so grateful to be a gator!
