Reid Fornstrom - LHS

Reid learned to expect the unexpected this year and chose to stay positive. As senior class president, he pivoted his leadership style and found new ways to unite his class - Senior Sunsets at Jackass Hill is one shining example. Leadership comes natural to Reid in athletics, as well, where he served as captain of his tennis, swimming and basketball teams. He prides himself on hard work, which paid off with numerous appearances at state for both tennis and swimming.  In addition to athletics, Reid is also involved with DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America), where his Financial Services team qualified for state. In the classroom, Reid excels in academics, with a particular passion for biology and chemistry. He began tutoring friends and fellow students while volunteering with the National Honor Society, and that’s where his desire to teach truly became clear. Reid plans to attend the University of Oklahoma, where he’ll study to be a secondary science teacher and play intramural athletics. Eventually, he hopes to combine his passions for sports and teaching and become a high school coach or athletic director.

“Reid is a natural-born leader.  He is kind, intelligent, driven and likeable.  His leadership skills have certainly been put to good use as Senior Class President this year!”
