Organized and determined quickly come to mind when you get to know Lexie. She is an excellent student at Littleton, so much so that she prepared her schedule so that she could be part of the district’s Teacher Cadet program. Through Teacher Cadet, Lexie has been working in an 8th grade classroom at Goddard Middle School four days a week gaining important insight into being a classroom teacher. She has also been taking Concurrent Enrollment classes at Arapahoe Community College and will have acquired 29 credits by the end of the semester.

In addition to her academic achievements, Lexie has played the trumpet in Littleton’s marching band, concert band and has loved being a pit musician for school musicals. In fact, she hopes to be a teacher as knowledgeable and caring as her band instructor at Littleton, Don Emmons. She has been a member of Student Council, Technology Student Association and will graduate with high honors from Littleton’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program earning a Gold STEM certificate.

Following five generations of teachers, Lexie will attend the University of Colorado at Boulder in their Engineering program while learning a certificate to teach math, science or STEM – she hopes in Littleton Public Schools.

“Lexie is a model student in this program!  She is talented, creative, conscientious, hardworking and kind.”
