- Newsweek and US News & World Report have recognized Heritage as one of “America’s Best High Schools,” placing HHS in the top 1% percent of high schools in the country. The Washington Post has recognized HHS as one of “America’s Most Challenging High Schools” and 5280 has rated HHS a top Colorado high school
- Recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a “Blue Ribbon School”
- Recipient of the Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award and a six-time winner of the John Irwin Schools of Excellence Award
- Nine Heritage students were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program in 2018 with one Finalist
