Academic Recognition

  • Newsweek and US News & World Report have recognized Heritage as one of “America’s Best High Schools,” placing HHS in the top 1% percent of high schools in the country. The Washington Post has recognized HHS as one of “America’s Most Challenging High Schools” and 5280 has rated HHS a top Colorado high school
  • Recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a “Blue Ribbon School”
  • Recipient of the Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award and a six-time winner of the John Irwin Schools of Excellence Award
  • Nine Heritage students were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program in 2018 with one Finalist

Strong Athletic and Activity Programs

  • MAD Week 2019 – HHS students raised over $30,000 for Heifer International
  • HHS students raised more than $230,000 over 12 years to “Make a Difference” in Africa and India
  • LINK Crew mentoring program for 9th graders and new students
  • More than 40 Clubs including: FBLA, Alpine Club, Boys Volleyball, NHS and TSA, to name a few
  • More than 70% of students are engaged in activities
  • More than 60% of students participate in athletics
  • Twenty student-athletes signed NCAA scholarships
  • CHSAA Ice Hockey Top 10 and Elite Eight Playoff appearance

  • Award winning FBLA, DECA and TSA programs – with 8 students competing at Nationals
  • 2018 Exemplary Band Award from the Colorado Band Masters’ Association due to superior ratings earned throughout the year
