A series of four community engagement meetings were held in the fall of 2022 for the purpose of seeking input and fostering collaboration about the development of the Center.

Partnership Opportunities

Littleton Public Schools and the East Community Center Advisory Committee is please to be seeking partnerships for occupancy in the center.

The community center is scheduled to open in the fall of 2023, with a phased start involving a limited number of community partners and more limited hours of operation to ensure a successful foundation. The initial partners will work with the district to establish a lease or license agreement that outlines their contributions and commitments, including financial obligations. The center will then undergo further development and expansion in phased stages with additional opportunities for partnerships.  

If you are interested in establishing a partnership with Littleton Public Schools for the development of the community center at any time, either now or in the future, please complete this request for information. 

Requests will be taken from May 1-May 14.

East Community Center Advisory Committee

In order to provide oversight for the management of the East Community Center and to review and recommend community partnerships that align with the areas of focus for the center, Littleton Public schols has established the East Community Center Advisory Committee. Committee members include:

  • Nate Thompson, Director of Social, Emotional and Behavior Services for LPS
  • Courtney Orrange, School Counselor for LPS
  • Kathleen Osher, City of Litteton

History

  • Decision to consolidate East and Ralph Moody elementary schools on the Ralph Moody campus.
  • Commitment from the LPS Board of Education and administration to pursue the development of a community center on the East campus that is designed to support the needs of the community.  
  • LPS sought grant funding in order to collaborate with a facilitator to support and lead the community engagement efforts.  
  • Hired outside group to facilitate community process
  • Conducting research; meeting with stakeholders; hosting community meetings; developing plan for building
